Our Mission

SpaceWorks believes space and hypersonics are vital domains for enhancing global security, enabling digital transformation, and inspiring people around the globe. Through rigorous, quality engineering analysis and hardware development, SpaceWorks continually pushes the forefront of innovation; we move in leaps and bounds, not small steps.

Where we come from

Founded in 2000 as a spin-off of the Georgia Institute of Technology, SpaceWorks initially began as a small team focusing on space transportation concepts for NASA and the US Air Force. Over the last 20 years, our company has grown to 50+ employees, including engineers, economists, artists, and many more. We pride ourselves on the ability to deliver comprehensive program support, from initial concept definition through hardware development.

Today the company consists of six individual brands: SpaceWorks Engineering, SpaceWorks Commercial, SpaceWorks Software, SpaceWorks Studios, SpaceWorks Orbital, and SpaceWorks Flight. These six brands represent how our company has grown with the industry, continually evolving to support the ever-changing demands of the space market.

SpaceWorks has come a long way since our founding in 2000, and we now count many US governmental organizations, Tier 1 aerospace companies, entrepreneurial companies, and international organizations among our customers, partners, and suppliers. As our company has grown, our vision has remained steadfast. We believe humankind’s future lies in space, and we remain committed to making our impact on that goal.

Over the last 125 years, aerospace accomplishments have served to inspire the world, reduce travel times, defend freedoms, expand human knowledge, and improve the lives of all of us on Earth. In a way, we’re just getting started. The 21st century is going to be even more exciting for all of us in this field. SpaceWorks is proud to be a part of the NewSpace revolution.
